Group Sewing Day!

Today, I was joined by 17 volunteers at Makers Lodge in Carleton Place, ON to spend the day sewing bundles! It was absolutely wonderful and we were able to sew nearly 250 bundles to be handed out this month to people in Ottawa and surrounding communities — specifically the townships of Augusta, Prescott, and Cardinal.

We had people of all ages cutting, sewing, and serging and we even had local firefighters who helped put together a lunch for us all:) This was the first time I have ever done a large event which didn’t consist of packing bundles so I cannot wait to host to meet more wonderful volunteers and make a greater impact on homeless communities!

These will be getting packaged in the coming days at ARC The Hotel in downtown Ottawa with the help of Rhys Cole-Ashbury and Katie Lengyel!
